Lanzarote, the fourth largest island of the Canary Islands off the coast of West Africa administered by Spain, is known for its year-round warm weather, beaches and volcanic landscape. Serving this beautiful island as a gateway is Lanzarote Cruise Port.
Right in the heart of the city, Lanzarote Cruise Port can host 2 ships simultaneously. Passengers can hop off the cruise ship and choose to take a scenic route of Paseo de Puerto de Naos to access the city.
Lanzarote is very popular for winter cruising vacations due to the archipelago’s mild climate in comparison to other European regions. With the addition of great international flight connections, Lanzarote is a preferred city for cruises.
Global Ports Holding has been chosen as the preferred partner for the 20-year management of Lanzarote Cruise Port in 2022.
Operated by Global Ports Canary Islands under a long-term concession, the port features two dedicated cruise terminals, Naos and Los Mármoles, designed to welcome both transit and homeport operations. Together, these facilities can serve multiple cruise ships simultaneously, providing efficient and eco-efficient passenger processing with a strong focus on comfort and sustainability.
The new cruise terminals were officially inaugurated in 2025, with Naos covering 1,106 m² and Los Mármoles spanning 556 m², along with a satellite terminal for additional services for passengers and crew. These facilities are part of a broader investment plan to expand capacity and improve the overall cruise experience while respecting the island’s environment and urban landscape.
In recent years, Lanzarote has seen record growth in cruise traffic, with Arrecife expected to close 2025 with around 665,000 passengers, underscoring its importance as a preferred port of call and a strategic destination in Canary Islands itineraries.
